I thought he was doing a pretty good job of this. I later found out he's got a stack of welding certifications, including one for work on nuclear power plants :surprised_pikachu:

He could weld stuff other welders called impossible, like a new exhaust pipe into the rotten aluminium body of a diesel heater.

Q4: Are there any new making or crafting skills you are hoping, or would like, to learn or try this year (or in the near future)?

1. #Welding. I did oxy-acetylene welding in high school and nothing since. I frequently have projects that would benefit from welding.

2. #Casting (i.e., metal). I'd like to create a tiny forge for casting aluminum parts. I've seen How-Tos for this online, but haven't dived in, yet.
