Wicked, a huge hit in theaters and when rented online, is finally on a streamer (Peacock) where you can watch it as part of your subscription. I was eager to see it and watched it as soon as Peacock released it. I don't know how many times I've proclaimed on this blog that I love a musical. I’m kind of irrationally annoyed that Peacock’s trailer for Wicked, which auto plays when you launch the app, includes Elphaba’s literal last line from the movie. (The “battle cry” at the end of Defying Gravity). I mean, trailers give things away, but let people build to that! #wicked
I woke up with the same song in my head as yesterday. Not sure how the original Broadway cast recording of Wicked got in there, but it has.

I'm not sure what all the controversy was about leading up to the release of "Snow White", but the movie is fine. I haven't seen the animated version in years, but the live action story seemed familiar to me. The photorealistic #VFX have a slightly animated cartoon touch to them, but the approach works. The visuals aren't as extravagant as #Wicked, but the movie should still keep the attention of young children. #SnowWhite is a #movie the whole family can enjoy together.
So obviously Madame Morrible sees Elphaba as someone she can use to further her and the Wizard’s agenda. But does she also actually care about Elphaba, or does she see her purely as someone she can use? I could read it either way. Discuss.
