I want to stream audio RECORDING outside but I don't have any holes in my windows/doors so I can't pass any data or audio through. Does anyone know of any solutions to this?
Currently I'm thinking of running a solar-powered Pi-like board outside but I have no idea if this is going to work. Has anyone tried something similar?
@jookia if you have snapcast you can stream over wifi.
Just a pi zero 2w with a good bluetooth speaker with a usb out that can be used as power for the pi. And your good to go
@bdiederik But what would power the USB out?
EDIT: Forgot to specify this is for recording!
@jookia most usb speakers come with a battery.
@bdiederik Oops I meant recording not playing audio :)
@jookia that changes the game.
24/7 then i asume?
@bdiederik Yep, 24/7
@jookia then you have a real challenge.
I would go for something pre made. Due to weather conditions. Let me google i love to google stuff
@bdiederik Sure, I'd be interested to see any premade solutions
Why not WiFi or Bluetooth?
@djinnsour Well that can work but you still have to power it
@jookia
Your original idea of solar is definitely the way to go, for power. I just assumed there was no need to go crazy if you are simply trying to record audio. There are a ton of Bluetooth microphones, for conferencing. A few WiFi as well. Not sure if they are suitable for outdoor though.
@jookia it's been many years but there are many solar powered Raspberry Pi projects. Create your setup with mains power and measure how much power you'll need and then find a project that'll give you the required energy.
@jookia i like how everyone here can't read and are being rude to you for it when i got a mental picture instantly of what you wanted to do but i can't help because my brain too small for solar projects lmaoooo sadge
@jookia like i know there's someone who does this and its called wave pond radio but i dunno if they actually detail what they're doing
https://www.zachpoff.com/artwork/pondstation/
they have changelogs detailing the maintainence so it may be helpful?
