@schestowitz its an interesting article, but omits there is a good reason why the younger lass mistook John Lennon for Coldplay - they have covered Imagine more than once.
What is also significant is Coldplay's management were able to come to an agreement with EMI(?) to allow the cover version, and no protests were made at Chris Martin slightly altering the lyrics to fit in to his differing views on faith - unlike John Lennon, he does believe in religion! >>
@schestowitz unfortunately, for most smaller creators "remix culture" (which helps older content to be remembered) increasingly often seems to result in anything from copyright takedowns with no notice, to the big labels taking the bulk of any advertising revenue (I suspect Coldplay might have a better deal than that, although I've also noticed Imagine tends to get sung more at charity events by them..)
