this is my situation too -
I don't write "big software" (mostly small scripts) and my projects often involve hardware interfacing to specialist equipment and often I have to redact bits of code to avoid breaching confidentiality/security (because of site specific things, eg this script would have contained telephone numbers) >>
@ekaitz_zarraga @garbados that also means I have to put in more personal effort before I share - often for the wider good!
eg: I worried I nearly got a friend in trouble with BNetzA Germany as I thought I had shared on their gitlab a /wrong/ version of an Arduino sketch to control a radio transmitter, which was for frequencies that are perfectly OK to use in UK, but were then allocated to the Defence Ministry in Germany!
(Luckily I /had/ picked the "OK for all CEPT nations" version)
