So, bunch of companies that figured out how to operate #openstack and can afford having teams dedicated to this task, are gorwing their clusters whereas a lot of smaller companies burnt by openstack's complexity is shying away from it.
It doesn't surprise me with my experience of standing up cluster on my own.
Trying to do so really made me feel dumb.
The official docs assume a lot of preexisting knowndledge, it seems to be geared towards seasoned openstack operators. Whole sections are missing between different docs versions, community on IRC channel w/o easy option to search through history to see if anyone had similar issue with setup.
Newest books on openstack are like at least 4 years old. Multiple Installation ways, each with it's own issues.
I mean, #openstack has great value, but no surprise businesses are not jumping on it like on k8s for instance.
