LonM<p>Articles like this are straining to find a use for AI and I hate it. My understanding of their argument is "The series is being rebooted, but with the same actors, so we need to use AI to de-age them or else they'll get recast."</p><p>How about just show them as older? New fans wont notice, and old fans won't care.<br>The use of any de-aging, whether AI or prosthetic or whatever will make it more expensive to shoot. Even with the 'they're a 1000 year old vampire that looks young" argument, if you're rebooting the series, you can just make up an excuse:</p><p>"They spent a bit too long in the sun so they look older now".
