Eleanor LNR Blair<p>Just on the off-chance, does anyone have experience with <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/Oracle" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Oracle</span></a> databases, and particularly with <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/OracleAutoUpgrade" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OracleAutoUpgrade</span></a> ?</p><p>We've got an 11.4 database, we're migrating to 19c on a different machine. We're trying to work out if the <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/FixUp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FixUp</span></a> stage is likely to stop the database from being usable in 11.4 on the existing server? It says it makes changes to the source database, but I can't find anything about how disruptive those would be.</p><p>The recommendation is to run it "as soon as possible" before your downtime window for the migration, but how soon does that need to be?</p><p>Cheers! And big thanks to Mike Dietrich's really helpful blogs and slides for getting us this far. Martin Herndl<p>it has been around 2 weeks since I mentioned last that we don't _have to_ use <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/fixup" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fixup</span></a> <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/commits" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>commits</span></a> anymore because we can just <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/squash" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>squash</span></a> via GUI..</p><p><a href="https://phpc.social/tags/git" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>git</span></a> <a href="https://phpc.social/tags/gitlab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gitlab</span></a></p>
