They were pretty nice devices, I used to film a lot with them. At the time I considered their image quality to be great, but today it looks rather blurry. However, these feel quite good at hand and have some nice features like 0 lux mode and handy controls.Has there been a nostalgic or esthetic revival for them yet?

Doesn't matter if recorder or screen doesn't work as long as it can play back and has a working firewire (iee1398?) port. Also, must be able to play NTSC tapes (these were recorded on a Sony cam bought while I lived in USA). hambach18Ich habe 15 alte digitale <a href="https://kanoa.de/tags/MiniDV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MiniDV</a> VideoKassetten kopiert. Weil der Kameraakku schrott ist und die Übertragung fehlerhaft mit dem normalen Netzteil ist, wird die Kamera mit heruntergespanntem 8 Volt Gleichstrom aus einer Starterbatterie versorgt. Der original Akku muss eingesetzt bleiben, sonst beschwert sich die Kamera dass kein "<a href="https://kanoa.de/tags/InfoLithium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#InfoLithium</a>" Schaltkreis verbaut ist. Die WLan Karte im Laptop hab ich mit einem <a href="https://kanoa.de/tags/MiniPCIE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MiniPCIE</a> zu <a href="https://kanoa.de/tags/PCIE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#PCIE</a> Konverter ersetzt, darin steckt extern die <a href="https://kanoa.de/tags/FireWire" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FireWire</a> Karte.

hambach18Ich hab heute fast den gamzen Tag versucht, eine Kamera die <a href="https://kanoa.de/tags/miniDV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#miniDV</a> Kassetten abspielen kann über Firewire und Adapter mit dem Laptop zu verbinden. Hab dafür unterschiedliche alte Linux Distributionen und Einstellungen ausprobiert. Es hat schließlich funktioniert, nachdem ich die PCIE <a href="https://kanoa.de/tags/Firewire" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Firewire</a> Adapterkarte mit Alkohol eingesprüht, abgewischt und kurz geföhnt hatte. Der andere Trick war, dass die Kamera auf Akku laufen muss und nicht am Ladekabel angeschlossen sein darf.
