EmPenTenFYI for anyone who may come across a lost shag some day in future, the little buggers bite big time! He wasn't walking well but that long neck and long beak make for excellent biting opportunities. Eventually remembered my bird knowledge and put my top over his head then wrapped it around him to keep him in the warm and dark and to take away his bite-ability.
