I've just bought a sockets block #Brennenstuhl "6G premium-line" for 75 zł ($19). Made in Germany!
I disassembled it to see all the protection circuits it has. I was surprised to find… double plastic case and no ANY protection, even a fuse. I'm disappointed. Usually "premium" products has fuse, filters, e.t.c.…
Product description at manufacturer web-site: https://www.brennenstuhl.com/en-DE/products/extension-leads/premium-line-extension-socket-6-way-black-3m-h05vv-f-3g1.5 — here is also no information about protection. So, this is true. I had to think about it before to buy.
@vazhnov, you should probably have gotten a "regular" EVER, they're not very expensive and supposedly have all the protection and insurance for damaged equipment. I haven't disassembled one though.
@vazhnov the general rule is: if there were any stuff beyond the bare wiring necessary for the sockets block to work, they'd probably advertise all of it.
I guess the "premium" part is that it looks sturdy enough to take a good beating.
@vazhnov in .de it’s usual for filters/fuses to be external things you plug in the wall, then anything into them, if you have them at all.
