Art 365/081: Changeling:

Last week I thought my missing cat had been found. A cat who was almost her twin got into Salmon's cat carrier. When by the next morning it was obvious that she wasn't, another woman thought she was her missing cat. Again she wasn't. So this watercolor is in honor of that cat (who is now back with the people who found her first).

Young mostly black cat with a Siamese cat body type. Large yellow eyes, wide open. White bib. Some white on front toes. Long white socks. Standing awkwardly on a green duvet.

Art 365/080: Colour - Today is apparently international colour day. I wanted to follow on yesterday's abstract approach where I let the water do much of the heavy lifting. But I also have a self imposed rule on my pages that one square must have a chicken on it. Since tomorrow is "Caturday" and I have a cat piece planned for the box, today's box also needed a chicken. So an ink and acrylic marker chook on top.

A series of saturated blobs of colour that bleed into one another in a snaking line. Over which is drawn in black in and details added with white acrylic marker is a rooster mid stride.
