Still unable to find @cwsmith@hybridized-concepts.com when I search it. Modified the NGINX config for error reporting. Maybe that will help me figure this out.
Will also be working on the Dirt Simple guide to hosting your own community as I go.
Wondering if I am actually producing anything of value even just posting here.
I post on all socials right now but I really don't know if what I share is worth the effort to put out.
Gonna go do laundry and try and get some basic site setups working. No themeing today, just get basics online and start writing bits and pieces of stuff.
Do I bring anything of worth into the world from any of this?

I am working on rebuilding one of my communities. Originally it was a small fanfiction thing but as I have another fan related domain I decided to make this one a Dark Fiction site and community.
Thing is that Dark Fiction can get... Dark.
So while I am working on the ideas and which software to use for community, I need to figure out what is allowed for rules and discussion.
Obviously moderation would need to be far more lax than say Mastodon.art or anything from Europe. You can't start banning everyone who talks about dark topics if they follow that topic to its darker logical conclusion.
Obviously Harrassment, KYS statements, Actual Racism, and a few other things should be banned. But discussion of how a racists bigoted character might address something shouldn't be.
I live in the US so 1st Amendment is pretty open ended.
Figured I would put this out to discuss cause it is such a disconnect between what most people would generally expect from an instance due to the subject matter.

Someone went and created a Marketplace replacement.
Didn't know that existed.

Has anyone thought of adding ActivityPub functionality to something like Libre.fm so we could built a music Fediverse branch?
So, since I now have a van to work on I will be focusing on what to do for my Vanlife blogging.
I figure just setting up a wordpress blog on Wanderers-Waypoint.com will be sufficient. I can add ActivityPub support for myself and build a community there with one of the forum plugins. That being said, if I do that then it becomes opt-in for federation. The plugin requires a user to toggle the process on.
So I am open to options as well.
Does anyone think there is a place for a fan run content site that Federates to the rest of the network?
Not like a Mastodon page but a full WordPress built site of some kind? Or some other CMS while a community page is built on a subdomain?

I want to start blogging about my move into #vanlife and vehicle camping and feel blogging will help.
I have three domains:

Wanderers-Waypoint
I want to include federated communities into my setup.
Should I Stick with one domain and use the Subdomains to handle add-ons? Should I try and build a community on one and blog on the other?
Thoughts?
So the question is, Should I try and maintain all three domains? Build one site and link all of theme there?
Or just pick one and create the sub domains for the community?
Still real disappointed that I can't seem to get #ActivityPub working with #Drupal. So far I have never received any contact related to helping figure out what I might have done wrong.

Who would be interested in an instance built on sharing supernatural and dark fantasy content? Maybe some darker gritty Cyberpunk or TechNoir?
I am thinking of rebuilding an old community I called Darkscribes. I still have the domain but I am doing nothing with it currently. It was the 2000s and we were cringe... But we were free.
