@SecurityWriter An analogy: the #HandsOff protests were partly about making opposition visible. But they were partly about reminding participants that they are not alone in their outrage and heartbreak, that others want change too.

Funerals: a ceremony of letting go, saying goodbye. But also, seeing other people who are sad, coming together for mutual support, being with the loss. Presumably moving forward with renewed connections.
