Verschwunden: Eine Quattroplatte von Amiga (anderswo EP genannt) mit Albert Hammond-Musik drauf. The Free Electric Band und It never rains in Southern California waren drauf. Vielleicht war ich 14, als ich sie geschenkt bekam?

Ob sie noch irgendwo in den unausgepackten Boxen ist?

And it never rains in Southern California ..

In #Melbourne hats gestern geregnet, heute ist es grau. Ich geh gleich raus, kauf Bagels und gucke nach, wie kühl es wurde.

Zuhause. Nostalgie. Sommerpause? Ende? Herbst?

They've plotted out long distance drives into central #Melbourne, trying where possible to avoid motorways, and take local streets instead.
If you drive this way, it might take you longer if IV's 30kmh local streets proposal gets up. And it probably should.
But who would drive this way?

Illegal rubbish dumping in Melbourne's western suburbs is a big problem. We also have a problem with people dumping wheelie bins from Moonee Valley and City of Melbourne on our City of Yarra Street corner. Sometimes people dump small skips there. As the article says, rubbish dumping is now part of the business model of some businesses.

At the root is a total disregard for the environment and the people who live in these rubbish dumping areas. It is horrible living amongst dumped rubbish.

And of course people dump lots of shopping trolleys. Our local Woolworths stopped providing trolleys for several months because so many were being dumped on the streets. Now they have provided trolleys but added electronic locks on them that jams the wheels at the exits of the shopping centre.

Pro-tip for people who read a lot: library ebook/audiobook app Libby will let you search and borrow from multiple libraries and many libraries will let you be a member even if you don’t live in their immediate area. For example, City of Melbourne and Merri-bek libraries allow people living anywhere in Victoria to be a member (you do have to visit a branch to sign up though). As every library has different catalogues and waiting times, having memberships at multiple gives you the best chance at promptly borrowing the item you want.
