and once again, this time in Ohio

the Maga Reps are afraid of their own fellow citizens and are too cowardly to face critical questions in the city halls.

act.progressamerica.usDr. Oz is dangerous: Tell the Senate to reject his nomination to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Millions could lose health coverage this year as policymakers consider proposals that would force deep cuts to Medicaid. This would shift costs to states and make health expenses rise for many of us. And, Project 2025 calls for making Medicare Advantage the default enrollment option, which would push the U.S. towards a fully privatized Medicare system. This would give away billions of tax dollars to greedy corporations while giving seniors limited options when it comes to choosing providers and accessing care. A 2022 survey found that, regardless of their Medicare plan, older adults reported skipping follow-up appointments and skipping prescription refills due to inability to pay. Now Donald Trump has nominated Dr. Mehmet Oz to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Dr. Oz not only has a long history of peddling dubious weight-loss schemes and other types of quack medicine, he also stands to financially benefit from an expansion of Medicare Advantage due to owning $600,000 worth of stock in two of the largest Medicare Advantage providers (UnitedHealth Group and CVS/Aetna). The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services provide insurance coverage to some of the most vulnerable members of our society. We cannot allow a man whose medical colleagues warn is misleading and dangerous to lead CMS.   Click “Start Writing” to send a message to the Senate urging them to reject the nomination of Dr. Oz as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

If you come after Dick Durbin and Jeanne Shaheen, you're an idiot. These are the Democrats who engaged with pro-democracy activists from #Belarus long before the protests of 2020 hit the major news, and are still engaging long after the news cycle has moved on. These two are my gold standard of #Senators who know what they are doing, hire the best staff and then listen to them, and care deeply about people.

If they are the ones who chose to back #Schumer, it was the right thing to do. Period.

From a friend-- here are many of Chuck Schumer's offices. Flood them all with calls and faxes.
