Additionally, if anyone happens to be on an instance runnining glitch-soc, there is an option in the settings to ask for confirmation automatically before boosting or posting media without alt text/media description.

@tillshadeisgone ah that's really nice! That option should be made opt-out rather than opt-in IMO

@maltimore @tillshadeisgone Maybe although you have to get buy-in from the people posting or else you get really bad image descriptions. (There are some really good guides to writing alt text which I could possibly find again if anyone is unfamiliar).

Well, that's why you make it opt-out rather than mandatory. Also, bad image descriptions are better than no image descriptions. 💪
