And when to start founding Hogeschools.
@syndikalista I guess you've read (and maybe been inspired by) Ivan Illich? His 1970s ideas remain valid even today!
@vfrmedia dont know him. But i read the „Schools of syndicalism“ next to socialist founders of Swedish radical workers highschools from around 1880ies. Tell me a little bit about Illich please?!
he's best known internationally for Deschooling society, which was a call to overhaul *all* compulsory education (from age 5-7 onwards). Many free PDF copies of this exist (one is in the second link)

@andrej and there is a connection to Barbara Duden...
@andrej you do not see me surprised :D
@vfrmedia i dont know illich, but i did some work on few of his students (Barbara Duden i.e.). And i know a little bit about the deschooling movement, but more of other tribes. i am not against schooling, i am against this specific existing schooling system. Education and learning needs to re-structuralised, but dont ask me how, that’s not my really my field of work. I really enjoy the early Swedish workers Highschool system and Syndikalist schools for flexibility and interconnectiveness.
@syndikalista to be fair he doesn't come across as suggesting "knocking the whole lot down" but reorganising education.and making better use of existing facilities.
TBH the (age 5-16) education systems of 1970s and early 1980s England (which seemed more fun and progressive) weren't that bad, alas somewhere in mid 1980s it was decided to "chase constantly after test/exam results" (this is from my own personal experience growing up in this era)
