Oh nice, my favourite Latvian Youtuber also fixed his driveway with woodchips.
Has a video showing after and before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YT2dzGa6XWk
You need to renew them occasionally, but then the same applies to gravel, only gravel sucks otherwise and does not biodegrade into fertilizer, it just sinks in and makes grass grow on top but very poorly, which is the situation whe have now (there's old gravel underneath most of our grass/mud).
@yngmar Tempted to try them on the bit where we park the car, but I fear they'll not last more than a gale or two. Worth getting a bale in though, if we can find them
@withaveeay None of ours have moved (we have them on the garden paths). That's with just walking on them. They're heavy enough. If you drive on them, they'll get compacted and definitely won't leave. Give it a try. I dunno if there's much forest about, branches are usually a byproduct of forestry they're happy to get rid of.
The ones in the chicken pen did move, but only because the chickens love kicking them about :)
@yngmar It's actually common for driveways in my part of Florida. I use wood chips for paths around the farm where I need to maneuver in my wheelchair!
