The first season of really isn’t very good, is it? I remember liking it way back when it aired, so I assume it must get better at some point, but the “visions” premise is super hacky, there aren’t any interesting villains, and having a cop take the role of “constant damsel in distress” is a really bizarre choice.

It also doesn’t have any of the wit that of the same era had, or the whole “monsters as a metaphor for life stages” thing, and I’m realizing those two things were what I liked most about Buffy.
