Shame we don't have three-phase power. I doubt a VFD would work very well for driving this.

@yngmar @piggo apparently you can use 3 Victron inverters to make your own 3 phase supply. Go on. You know you want to.

Or cheaper, a three phase generator.

Neither solution appeals :)

@yngmar @piggo not the kind of motor you can open the box and rewire it for a single phase, I guess? my dad's table saw could switch 120/240, I don't recall if 3 phase was an option.

@elliot @piggo I dunno about what weird stuff you have in the land of 120V, but generally a 3 phase motor will not spin from 1 phase no matter how you wire it.
