An illustrated example: when infrastructure cohesion is not considered a top-down priority.

This is the border between the communities of #Billund and #Vejle. They agreed to connect with cycling infrastructure so the dangerous road could be skipped.

Billund constructed tarmac. Vejle a now submerged gravel trail.

Unfortunately on maps both are labeled the same. Which leads f.e. to families on cycling holidays (to Legoland..) ending up on the busy road.

The end of the cycle path in Billund community. Going left turns you in the sandy trail. Going right continues you on a VERY busy car road with fast going trucks and cars, and no save shoulder to dive into. Even when the sandy trail is not submerged it is the only way for cargo trikes or many other bikes.
The cycle path in Vejle community Drone shot. On the left you see the cycle path. It's at best a sandy gravel path. Cargo tricycles or two wheeled trailers cannot go on it. For the past five months about 200 meters of the path has been submerged (at points a meter deep).
Map. The black lone is the community border. Red dots are locations on the two photos. The road labelled Koldingvej is the dangerous road intended to be skipped. Legoland / Billund is about five km north-west at the end of the Koldingvej.

Question: how do you go around giving away free items in your local area?

In our area (#Billund, #Denmark) #Facebook groups ("Buy nothing xx") appear to be the only effective way: I put something on there and within a day or so I it's gone in a friendly easy transaction. Facebook though..

Any suggestions on how it works somewhere else without Facebook are welcome!
