Rest of the day was mostly feeding branches to . The woodchips completed a little garden path but the larger share went into the mud pit in front of the garden, which is a right mess now after the concrete removal.

Some ancient hay from the barn floor on top of that and blended it all in with the rotavator. The idea is that this will improve the gloopy soil there and allow it to drain better. Tomorrow I want to compact it.

Picked up the rest of the two fallen birches from the bottom of the road. The parts not frozen to the ground anyways.

Lots more fallen and hanging trees to clean up.

The pile grows!

Been looking at a PTO shredder for the tractor to process the piles of branches I've been leaving everywhere. Good stuff when mulched. Less so when piled up in the forest. Burning is dumb.

New generator being run in, using 's 2800W and some branches re-enacting Fargo.

Worked as well as in the reviews, the dynamic governor reacts quickly and I didn't see the overload LED flicker even once, so the 3000W rating must be about right. Not too noisy either.

After the generator had proven itself, I switched back to cheaper Swedish nuclear power and finished turning the rest of the branch pile into nutritious garden paths.

Scholarly CommonsAn Economical Method for Securely Disintegrating Solid-State Drives Using BlendersPulverizing solid-state drives (SSDs) down to particles no larger than 2 mm is required by the United States National Security Agency (NSA) to ensure the highest level of data security, but commercial disintegrators that achieve this standard are large, heavy, costly, and often difficult to access globally. Here, we present a portable, inexpensive, and accessible method of pulverizing SSDs using a household blender and other readily available materials. We verify this approach by pulverizing SSDs with a variety of household blenders for fixed periods of time and sieve the resulting powder to ensure appropriate particle size. Among the 6 household blenders tested, sharp-blade blenders with high peak power (1,380 W) and high blade speed (28,000 RPM) properly disintegrate 2.5-inch SSDs in less than 20 min. This method is useful for pulverizing small numbers of SSDs that contain secret information when on-site conventional disintegrators are not available or practical.

#TheVeil, a #Hulu #TVSeries, has a good premise and acting but it suffers from unnecessary and unbelievable #action sequences and a final episode that goes from odd, to unrealistic (no cross-cut #shredder?), to sexual creepiness, to "why aren't you driving?!?", to wtaf?

It was still mostly enjoyable but trying to mix #LeCarre with #Bond (plus whatever the cottage scene was) lessened what could have been really good or even excellent.

Worth a watch, but disappointing.
