Badges on the Fediverse?! Yep, it’s happening! 🎉 I’ve got a working prototype for issuing badges with ActivityPub! It's a bit rough around the edges, but I need some help to make it awesome!

💜 Check it out the teaser video and let me know what you think! 🦝✨

I just learned that there is a Star Wars labeled game out there called "Shatterpoint"

I properly should rename my current project 😂

I'm open to ideas cause I'm not super creative in naming stuff. Previously the game was called "Wave Breaker" but this did feel lame somehow ...

I do want a name which is not totally overused by other titles or do have and possible copyright issues like "Shatterpoint" possibly could.

And another system and container update has broken nextcloud-aio on podman completely.

Container's start script can't resolve DNS, even when explicitly given a --dns=1.1.1.1

No issues with othe containers. Nextcloud-aio tries to configure a lot networking stuff itself...

This is the part of self-hosting that sucks.

Update: Danke an alle Vorschlagenden!

I do need some advice once again, I do need a font color which is an good looking highlight for the image attached.

Currently it's the turn of "Player 1" so his name is getting highlighted, but somehow I'm not sure if I like the color.

The metal like background is using "#94AFC6" as a color.

Any advice? I'm really bad at color theory and most of my choices did hurt my eyes 😂

The color will also be used in other situations as hightlight

I want to make something that does this:

1. Shows a user-friendly interface that looks like filling in a form, where you type in answers to questions.

2. When you finish the form, the answers are shuffled around and combined along with pre-generated text, and spit out as a text document.

Are there any user-friendly meta-interfaces that will let ME make a system like this, without having to code it from scratch? My fallback is a misapplied spreadsheet.

What's the deal with #Linux (specifically, #Debian) and #multimonitor setups (specifically, with #ThinkPad and #DisplayPort)?

I have an #X230Tablet with a monitor (VGA) and an e-ink screen (HDMI over DisplayPort) in addition to its in-built screen, but I can only use two of them at a time. The third one just remains blank, and whichever it is, only starts working when I disable one of the other two 🫣

Is this a general thing or just a "me and my laptop" thing?

Who is familiar with #website #tracking? My website www.whatcolor.is currently has around 85,000 visitors per day, with most of them accessing all resources such as images, but also JSON documents and InDesign documents. That looks a lot like #crawling to me. I use #Matomo, which has been configured in accordance with German data protection regulations, so I don't have a lot of information about these visitors. How can I find out more about these visitors? What could they be?

If there's any bored PHP programmer around, I wonder if they would be interested in collaborating with FerretCMS.
The project is quite mature, I think. There's things I yet want to do, but I am already using it in a bunch of websites and it works well.

However, there's something I have 0 experience with and would love to learn in a real-world project: writing a test suite for it. I have read a lot on TDD, but I have never managed to apply this knowledge to any of my projects.
Therefore, I am looking for anyone to give me a hand with this; not necessarily writing all the tests, but maybe one or two examples of each type (I repeat, specifically in this project) so I can build on these.

Of course, any other kind of help is also appreciated, if you're interested.

Codeberg.orgferretCMSA static blog generator with an online, PHP, flat-file editor/backoffice. With RSS and ActivityPub

for reference I'm looking for
- 512GB+ storage
- 8GB+ RAM (preferably 16GB)
-
15 inches or higher!!!
- something equivalent to or better than a 10th gen i5
- preferably not plastic because I'm scared of it cracking again but still

fingerprint sensor would be really cool but not necessary. I prefer fuller keyboards (i.e. with a numpad) but I
could compromise here
