Any folks still on #Firefox having moved to 136.0.4?
Trying to customize the toolbar on a new mac, and there seems to be no "new tab" button even in the "customize" window. Instead it's permanently up on the tab bar where I don't want it.
Are others seeing the same behavior? Thanks.
I’m so annoyed with taxes. I don’t have a problem paying them, but I have spoken to 3 different accountants and been given 3 completely different answers.
If they don’t have the answer straight, why should I be expected to?

I'd forgotten this #annoyance ... #Pachli doesn't have this problem

It might be tiny in the scheme of things but that kinda makes it worse. That Windows 11's brightness overlay indicator doesn't show the level. It just shows the indicator with a bar that should show the level. The volume has a similar indicator that works fine.
With `poetry build`, the docs #directory does not end up in the built #wheel or #sdist/#tarball, no matter what I do. I know it's picking up the ignores from the .gitignore file, because renaming .gitignore fixes the problem.
Running build with maximum verbosity gives 2.9MB of output, showing every file that is getting ignored - and not a single message as to *why* any of them are ignored.
Literally impossible to debug. Docs are silent on this, of course.

There is a personality, or social style, or something, that I find unpleasant and very challenging to deal with. IDK its real name, but I think of it as smth like "instant and constant disapproval".
There are people who seem to use this as their coping mechanism for life. They find reasons to be annoyed with their environment and people in it. They don't hide it. There might be a small number of people they are generally pleased with, but I've seen that often those people just do what the constantly-annoyed person wants, which is of course quite nice.
I assume this approach to life gives people a sense of control or familiarity. I also think it might, for some people, be due to basically innate ongoing discomfort due to whatever biological processes lead to colicky baby syndrome, DMDD, and a host of related conditions.
In any case, it takes a toll on me. I find it deeply frustrating. I've spent a lot of my life learning to avoid those people, because I am almost never able (or inclined) to spend the time and energy needed to figure out how to live up to their internal standards day by day.
How to disable that thing in Sequoia where windows jump to full size if you drag them near the top of the screen: in Settings: Desktop & Dock, scroll way, way down, and uncheck Tile by Dragging Windows to Screen Edges. #sequoia #macos #annoyance
While the company I work for is part of a larger group it mostly works as an independent entity. As in every organization sometimes people ignore that. And thus four years ago someone high up decided everyone has to use some overly cumbersome system called Workday that doesn't integrate with anything we already have (doubt most users have logged in more than once..).
And now it thinks I'm a 124 years old, born in Afghanistan and an Austrian citizen.
I think I'll leave it.

Well it finally happened, my picture is now in Google maps. Go figure!
The YT app on Apple TV is really testing my patience. Besides the super annoying pause screen that kicks in now, and the screensaver, it resets your place in a list every time (e.g. going through your watch later list, or videos from all your subscriptions). If you play a video, it always resets to the top of the list when you back out to the list. I hate this behavior in any app. #UX #UI #annoyance #gripe #AppleTV
@mpldr I'm working on this. It's not exactly trivial. But my post is mostly from the #annoyance.... like what else does the #email #landlord need #today!
Ugh. In general I don’t like the usage of “resonate with” in either its correct or incorrect forms. It sounds so corporate-speak to me (because I heard it a lot at my previous job), and most corp jargon grates on my nerves. Instead I’d say I can relate, “I agree”, “totally”, or something else simpler and less annoying.

The one thing that Flash hated more than anything, was to wait in line for the checkout in a supermarket.
Rage mode on:
As a photographer who also posts a lot of kinky and nude photos, it really annoys me on Mastodon that there are so many accounts here that simply post pictures without copyright and presumably without the consent of the creators and people depicted.
That's not right and certainly doesn't help this medium.
