Just went for a glorious afternoon bike ride across the Boorloo Bridge over to Heirisson Island (openstreetmap.org/way/15059764) with my wife.

Never been around the western end of the island before: so serene and overlooked by so many. Probably why the kangaroos over there looked so peaceful.

This afternoon I went out for a ride on a whim, thinking maybe an hour or two, but I didn't set a route, just picked paths at random kind of following the river and then 2 hours later I realised I'd travelled much further than anticipated and was another hour from home lol. Stopped to refuel my body with some delicious fish tacos and coffee, nice restaurant staff refilled my water which was just about dry and I powered back home to find I'd covered 55km.
Last time I did that distance I was wrecked, this time I mostly just have a sore behind, so I guess I've gotten fitter in the meantime!

It was a lovely ride for the most part, except a few dodgy paths and a flight of stairs I dragged my bike up. Saw some beautiful views.

Day 15 💥🚂

“As Price got into full flight, Dutton’s team tried to end the press conference.

But Price kept talking.”

“When the press conference’s final question turned to Price’s plans for cutting #GovernmentWaste in a potential #Coalition cabinet, the senator seized her moment. In 11 minutes, she traversed everything from the indoctrination of students to “silly ideas around ideological things like colonising breastfeeding”.

There had been no plan for Dutton’s spokeswoman for #IndigenousAffairs and government efficiency to take centre stage. Half an hour earlier, Price had led a rallying cry to “make Australia great again”.

Discipline, focus, strategy?

Day 14 cont 🗣️🎙️📺 🇺🇸

“Price was appointed to lead a government efficiency unit if the #Coalition government is elected after 3 May. The unit, which would sit within the prime minister’s department, has been compared to one led by US #tech billionaire Elon Musk (#TechWeenie, #Oligarch), whose Department of Government #Efficiency, or Doge, is taking a razor to US government departments.

“Let’s be very, very clear, media, you’re obsessed with Donald Trump 🎃. We’re not obsessed with Donald Trump. We’re actually obsessed with ensuring that we can improve the circumstances for #Australians,” she said.”

Devoid of any #policy, #analysis, #costing, #ideas an LNP Senator makes a word salad of foreign phrases about making the “Bond market” sexy again, from a #BowlingClub on a Saturday in #Perth.

Repeat the slogans,
Repeat the slogans,
Repeat the #slogans.
