That's one of the advantages of #signal, that it is quite quiet on #metadata.
I think you could also check #briar, #SimpleXChat, or when it is ready #reticulum-based #LXMF when you just want to have other options and don't care about communicating with a wide audience which is not coming from a hacker bubble.

I'm still bummed by Signal not giving me a 6 digit verification code to re-register a phone number. Pressing "Resend code" a lot on the app eventually tells me I have to wait 6 hours for the next code, yet I didn't even receive 1 verification code!
I got nothing for Signal. I used my brother's phone number but the 6 digit verification number just doesn't come.. He doesn't even know what Signal app is, so I doubt he used his phone number to sign up.
Guess this isn't the day to meddle with Signal. "No Signal" I guess :(
I'mma stick with SimpleX chat. This and the email. I dunno about Matrix+Element though
