Der Blick auf die #Jodversorgung zeigt, dass eine annähernd gute Versorgung nur erreicht werden kann, wenn Sie durchgehend #Jodsalz verwenden. @LeamValley I also wonder whether dietary changes have inadvertently moved many folks away from Vitamin D-fortified foods. For example, being lactose intolerant, I do not consume dairy milk, which is usually Vitamin D-fortified. I just took a look at the nutrition label on a package of almond milk and saw, as the attached photo shows, that almond milk is not Vitamin D-fortified. (Almond milk is, however, calcium-fortified.) #nutrition #food #VitaminD

Modern #nutrition and where some of us are ignoring it in #Scotland

An interesting press report comparing #vitaminD deficiencies in some Scots today and 17th Century.

Get with the program folks, consiten healthy vitamin D levels, whichwe can all achieve, even on restircted diets make a great deal of difference to quality of life.

I have not read the scholarly paper, but this is an interesting approach (with results that are a bit frightening given the modern fortification of dairy, margarine, and breakfast foods with Vitamin D, but perhaps the breakfast diet has changed in the past 30 years, away from the foods that are Vitamin D-fortified). #VitaminD #archaeology
