logic is not their strong point and they are hoping that nobody will notice.

keep it simple, #Tariff are a #tax on the people of US . We should be calling it the "republican tariff tax" #RTT.

It's like the income tax only its on what you buy not what you earn. Not any different than a national sales tax.

It is also a #regressiveTax, what you pay, as a percentage of what you earn, is higher on #poorPeople

It also allows other corps to raise the price of their goods.

How will you pay for that?

How will you explain to the job centre staff why you chose to do that instead of Finding A Job, You Scrounger?

Check out this argument I had with an Objectivist who tried to argue that Ayn Rand actual cared about poor people, and their evidence was a YouTube video of an interview she did where she said, "I don't hate the poor, I just don't think they're the best thing in life, and that one should tailor everything to their convenience."

Of course it is always wrapped up in #patriotism, #nationalism, #jingoism and often #religion so that both can be convinced of the integrity and purity of their convictions.

Poor people die, and the rich people who own the factories that make the weapons - grow more wealthy and powerful

The demands contained within that document present a comprehensive response to the systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, militarism, and war economy plaguing our country today. For the 140 million people who are poor, or one emergency away from being poor, we know these demands are necessary. This Poor People’s Moral Budget asks, given the resources of our society, whether these demands are also possible.
